Thomas Hospitall the Eighth day of July Anno Din 1681:

And after the reading and confirmacon of the orders and
business of the last Court it was Ordered as followeth. Vizt:

The Comittee made report to this Court concerning the Shopps
and houses in the High Streete in the Front of the Hospitall on the North
Side of the Gate, Which followeth in these words

To the Right Worpll: the Prsident Treasurer and Governors : of St.
Thomas Hospitall Southwarke .

Shopps and house
in high Streete

In persuance of an Order of the Generall Court of this Hospitall of the
Fifteenth day of Aprill last past Wee whose names are Subscribed have
at Severall Comittees consulted of the matters to [..] thereby refferred fourth
the Houses and Shopps in the High Streete Southwarke Fronting the said
Hospitall on the Northside of the Gate of the same Hospitall and doe humbly
certifie as followeth (Vizt)

Hen. Bartelot< no role >


That Henry Bartelott< no role > is Tennant for the House next the Said Gate North
-ward part of Which house lyeth over the said Gatewaye by Lease made for
Twenty one Years which Expires at Michas 1689: at the yearly Rent of
fower pounds and for a fine of Eighty Eight pounds.

Pitman


And That James Pitman< no role > is Tenant of the next house Northwards by
Lease made for twenty one years Expireing of Lady day 1690: Under
the rent of Eight pounds and for a fine of Two hundred and twenty po [..]

Harrison


And That on the Northside of that house there is a shopp or Stall out
of Lease, at present lett to Nichol: Harrison< no role > the last Lessee as tenant at
Will at the Annuall Rent of three pounds wthShopp is Eleaven foote deepe East
and West and Six foote Eight inches broad North and South to the Streete.

Hill


The next Shopp Northward is alsoe out of Lease and now Lett to Ann hill< no role >
the last Lessee as Tenant at Will under the yearly Rent of Three pounds which
Shopp is Eight Foote Deepe and Six foote fower in this broad to the Streete

Foure foote cutt off
& laid into ye Streete
So but 9: inches left


The next Shopp Northward is held by vertue of a Lease made to one Tho: Middleston
which Expires Lady day 1702: at the Rent of thirteene Shillings and fower pence
and containes fower foote nine inches East and West deepe and Eight foote being
to the Streete; It was Sett with an house in St. Thomas Pish for the Fine of
£xl: but how much for that in pliculer doth not appeare

The next shopp Northward is held by Nicholas Harrison< no role > by Lease expireing
Midsomer 1684: at the yearly Rent of xxxs: for which Lease being made for
twenty one years a fine of Tenn pounds was paid, and the Shopp contains
five foote Six inches East and West in depth and Six foote three inches
the Streete

Wood


The other and last Northward is held by John Wood< no role > and wife late Weld by
Lease which expires Michas 1695 at Forty Shillings yearly Rent the
Lease was made for thirty one years for a Fine of thirty Six Pounds; And
Shopp containes Six foote in depth and tenn foote in breadth next the Streete

May 1676 An Act of Parliament was made for Erecting a Court
of Judicature to determine differences concerning houses burnt or ordered
in or by the Said fire, who had alose power thereby given to regulate [..]
