Sir
In your Letter of the 24th Octo. last amongst other things,
you mention that you had and one Qurs Rent due to you
from Mr. Cowling, and that for the future you would
remit the Money as you received it, in consequence of
which I have been Daily in Expectation of either seeing
or hearing from you, and which has hitherto prevented
my Writing to you, but no things goes on just as they
were, the Arrears of Rent consequently increasing, it is
incumbent on me as Receiver of the Rents of this Hospital
to acquaint You, that unless you do remit the Rent agree
able to your own proposal (by which the Hospital may
reasonably expect the three Quarters due from Mr Cowling
at Laday last) you may most assuredly depond, that
the Treasurer
of this Hospital, will in regard to the
Trust reposed in him, & that the Charity may not
Suffer in its Interest take the most effectual means
of procuring that Justice, which you seemingly would
evade.
