It is with much concern that I receive the Order of the
Grand Committee to write to you on the following Disagreable
Subject.
Information has been given them That you are doing the
Estate you hold of the Hospital very Great Damage by Grazing the
woods with your sheep the Necessary consequence whereof will be
the Killing the Stubbs of the Underwood so that in process of time
there will be none to fellThis must greatly Detriment
the Estate at the Expiration of your Lease
Such Behaviour from a Gentleman of Fortune, and
himself a Governor of the Hospital is very much Agravated
I am further to Acquaint you Sir that the Committee Peremtorily
insists on Satisfaction for the Damage already done, and that you
absolutely desist from permitting year sheep to Graze the Woods
for the future otherwise they are determin'd to Assert the Rights
of the Hospital in the most Vigorous and effectual manner
