Mr. Chatbourn
Mr. Swaine in his Letter of the 14th. Decemr. last
applied to Mr. Treasurer for Timber to be mark'd out for Joysts for the
Barne Floor and for Laths for Smeads Barnes which he in Lands to thatch
next Summer for the last time and says that Timber for the Planks
of the Barne may be fill'd upon the Farme without any Dam age to it.
In Answer to which he was told that you would have Directions about
it in convenient time And you are now accordingly desired to examine
carefully into the Affair and let Mr. Treasurer know what is necessary
and fit to be done in order to yr. receiving further Instructions

Mr. Taylor
I recd. yr. last on the 18th. inst. And am orderd to let you
know That the Gentlemen are not to be diverted from their Purpose of
recovering their just Dues by any of yr. Promises of future Payments which
they know are not to be depended on But if you will send up immediately
the £10 which you say is in Gregory's hands and in a Month's time £10
more the Gentlemen will try you till May day next And you must
send me an [..] exact Account of what Rent you have paid ever
since you commenced Tenant, which you will find by Mr. Barringer's
Recets. for you charge yr. self with but 3 years Rent for the Farme
to Laday last at £33 Pann and you deduct for three years Land tax
pd. by you £19..10 and for 3 years Copy rents £9..18..- Whereas I
have allowe'd Mrs. Barringer already on your's & Gregory's Accots. the
Land tax to Laday 1749 and the Copy rents to Michs 1748 so that Mr.
Barringer's or yr. Account must be wrong with which I desire you
will acquaint Mr Barringer and that I reced his Letter of the 19th inst.
