maketh oath and saith
that on or about the twenty seventh day of December one thousand
seven hundred and ninety three he become and was bound in a
Recognizance before William Wickham< no role >
Esquire
one of his Majestys
Justices of the peace
for the said County to appear at the then next
January Session to prosecute Anthony Appelby< no role >
for assaulting
and beating him but not appearing he understands his said
Recognizance is become forfieted This Deponent als [..] saith that
the said Assault was committed upon him in his own House
where the Defendant had frequently caused a disturbance beet as
the said Anthony Appleley< no role >
did not afterwards come into his House
or any way molest hurs he was advised not to prosecute him any
further and not considering he was bound to appear for that
purpose he neglected to attend This Deponent further saith
that he never received any Compensation or satisfaction from the
said Anthony Appelly to discontinue the said Prosecution
nor did he neglect to attend from any corrupt motives whatever
but mereby from the Cause aforesaid
