on an Indictment for an Assault.

Middlesex to wit


Joseph Chapman< no role > of the Parish of Saint Ann in the County of
Middlesex Waterman maketh Oath that Titus Salter< no role > the Defendant in
this Cause is Master or Comander of the Ship Nathaniel which was in or
about the Month of August last past taken into his Majesties Service to
carry Forces abroad and then to proceed to Piscataway in
New England And this Deponent further saith that the said
Defendant soon after set sail from the Port of London on the said
intended Voyage and believes the said Defendant is now upon the
high Seas prosecuting the said intended Voyage and is not
expected to return to England in less than Twelve months time
