The Information of Catherine Wells< no role > wife of Joshua Well< no role > Servant to
Mrs. Nesbett of Upper Brook Street in the
Parish of St. Georges Hanover Square in the
said County [..] taken before me this 12th. day
of September 1753.

Who being upon oath says that upon Tuesday the 28th day Augt. last
she was Standing at her Master house in Upper Brook Street
about eight in the Morning that she then saw a [..] Gentlewoman
pass by who Sight often and repeated the words & good
god upon which this Informant asked the said Gentleman
what was the Matter and received for answer that there
was a Fellow who had knockt down a Boy and beat him
nay had almost killd him I beleive the villian has
Murdered him by this time upon which this Informt.
presently afterwards went down into the Park and
there [..] within twenty yards of Grosvenor Gate she
saw a Boy who appears to have been due John Shivers< no role >
who lately Died in Fyde Park Hospital lying on his
face, says that he lay under a Waldnutt Tree that the
ground on which he lay was a Dusty foot path
that there was niether stone nor Stump of Tree nor
anything Else which Appeared likely to hurt him
near him, that she afterwards lock'd in at the
widow of the Keepers house and there saw the
