were Nominated or Appointed
Scavengers
of the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
in the
said County by
Thomas Robe< no role >
and
William Booth< no role >
Esqr two of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the said County by their Warrt.
or Order bearing date the 22 day of April last
but which was not
Served on Your Petitioners till the 29th. of the said Month of April
so that the last General Quarter Sessions intervened between
the date and Service of the said Warrant or Order, And the said Warrt.
or Order was made (as Your Petitioners are informed) not at any Petty
Sessions within the division in which the said parish doth lye & whereat
Officers are usually appointed and to which the list made by the Parish-
-ioners was returned But by the said two Justices seperately each
at his own house-That neither of Your Petitioners was at the date
or Service of the said Warrant or Order or now is atradesman Living
in the said Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
but do all of them reside
in the Parish of Saint John Clerkenwell
Wherefore and for diverse other Causes your
Petitioners do humbly Appeal to Your
Worships from the said Warrant or Order and
pray to be releived against the same as to Your
Worships shall seem meet, and that a day
may be Appointed for hearing this Appeal

of the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
and
who served the said Warrant may Attend and
be Examined touching the same.
