off the Tryal.

The King against John Giles< no role > on the Prosecution of Kirk
Reeves.

Middlesex

Abraham Reyner< no role > Attorney for the Deft. in this Cause and
Mary Giles< no role > Wife of the Deft. severaly make Oath And first the Dept.
Reyner saith That he this Depont. yesterday in the Forenoon served the
above named Kirk Reeves< no role > with Notice in Writing signed by this Dept.
a true Copy whereof is hereunto annexed by delivering the sd. Notice to
the Wife of the sd. Reeves at her Husbands House on saffron Hill
in the County of Middlesex And the sd. Mary Giles< no role > saith That
yesterday Morning the sd. Defendt. was taken ill of a vomiting &
purging which very much injured his Heath so that he has
been confined to his Bed and unable to go abroad And this
Dept. further saith That by reason of his the sd. Depts. Illness he
cannot safely this day appear in this Court to attend the Tryal of the
Traverse of this Cause without the Peril or Hazard of his Life.

Both Sworn the 10th. Day of
July 1734.
