Resolved that the said Report be Received and
Confirmed and that the Clerk of the Peace
do issue the usual
Orders upon the Treasurer of the County
for the payment of the
several Sums therein mentioned amounting together to the
Sum of £639..1..6¼

Mr Burchell the Treasurer having intimated to
the Court that there was a considerable Arrear due from Mr Leslie
the late High Constable
of Westminster
on Account of the County Rate
who alledged that the Parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden
had not
paid in their Quota which occasioned such deficiency
Ordered that Mr Leslie be required by the Clerk of the Peace to
attend this Court on Saturday next at Three o Clock to shew cause
why he has not paid in the same.

Mr Conant having verbally reported from the
Committee appointed for Building the New House of Correction that
the Committee were apprehensive it might be necessary for the
Court to take into consideration the raising a further Sum of
Money for carrying on the said Building by Tontine or otherwise
at this present Session and the Minutes of the said Committee of
the 27th. day of March 1789 and of the 6th. day of January Instant
being Read and Mr Rogers the Clerk of the Works being called in
and having given the Court an Account of the present state and
probable progress of the Building in the ensuing Season
Resolved that the consideration of raising a further Sum of Money
for the carrying on the said Work be for the present Adjourned.
