By Adjournment same day.

The Chairman having laid before the Court a Letter.
from the Recorder of London, and the same being read in the
following Words Vizt.

"William Mainwaring< no role > Esqr
"Temple 2d. December 1789.

"Sir

"As Recorder of London I have been desired by
"the Court of Kings Bench to express a wish to the Magistrates
"of the City of London and County of Middlesex that they would
"return the Examinations in cases of Felony to the Old Bailey
"As you have an opportunity of meeting the Magistrates of the
"County in Sessions I must beg leave to desire that you will
"make the Sentiments of the Court of Kings Bench known to the
"Magistrates I feel myself happy in having an opportunity
"of addressing myself to a Gentleman so able to enforce the
"utility of such a Proceeding.

"I have the honor to be

"Your sincere friend
"& most Obedient.

"Jno. Wm. Rose
"Recorder "

Resolved that the said Letter be Printed and
sent to the several acting Magistrates for this County.

The Chairman having also laid the following
Letter before the Court Vizt.
