Resolved That Mr Paine be desired to remove the same
and take such other Measures as he shall think proper for preventing
the Bridge from receiving any damage and likewise for making a
proper Campshoting where necessary

By adjournment same day

Resolved that Posts and Rails be put up on the North
side of the session House to present any accident to Passengers from
the abrupt descent from the new Pavement to the Road and that the
old Posts now standing on the north side of the said Building be used,
if fit for the purpose.

A Petition of Edward Hall< no role > House keeper of the Session House
being laid before this Court and read in the following Words Vizt.

"Middlesex .
To the worshipful William Mainwaring< no role > Esqr.
Chairman of the Session and the Rest of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace now assembled

The Petition of Edward Hall< no role >
Humbly Sheweth

That previous to the appointment of the late
John Harrow< no role > (deceased) to take care of the Gallery doors in the
Court your Petitioner apply'd for the assistance of a Porter or
Person to be subject to his Command during sessions who might
not only take care of the Gallery doors but open and Shut the doors of
the Court and Session House to clear away Idle and Suspicious
persons and to keep the Court clean and in good Order during
Sessions

But learning it was the intention of the Court
(from motives of humanity) to appoint the said John Harrow< no role >
your Petitioner therefore declined his application
