the present House of
Correction}

A Motion was now made "that the consideration of
building a New House of Correction on a Scale adapted to the Ground
purchased of the Quakers together with the Scite of the present House of
Correction be referred to a Committee and a Plan or Plans for that
purpose be prepared by them to be laid before the Court on the County day
of the next Session" and the same being Agreed to It was moved

to and meet at such times and places as they shall think proper

A Report from the Committee appointed at the last Session
To Examine into the General Government of the House of
Correction at Clerkenwell being read of which the following in
a Copy Vizt:

To His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
in their General Session of the Peace holden for the said County in
February Session 1764 assembled.

The Report of the Committee appointed
To examine into the General Government
of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell

The said Committee Report that having taken into
consideration the Order of Referrence to them made at the last
