The said Committee to meet on Friday the Nineteenth day of April instant at
the hour of Eleven in the forenoon at the Prince of Orange
Coffee House

Order for the allowance
of 1 Yr to the prisoners
in the House of Correction
during the time they
perform hard Labour
further suspended.}
It being Represented to this Court that Debtors still continue to
be confined by the Sheriff of this County in the House of Correction
at
Clerkenwell
and therefore there is no room or opportunity for employing the
Prisoners therein in hard labour It is Ordered that the Order of Court
made at the Session of the Peace holden for this County in the Month of
January last in respect to the allowance of One penny half penny to each
Prisoner in the House of Correction
during the time only he or she perform
hard labour and which order was suspended at the last Session be and
the same is hereby further suspended untill the County day of the next
Session of the peace to be holden in the said County.

It being observed by this Court that many of the Orders relating to
the proceedings of his Majestys Justices of the peace
for this County and their
Officers collected by a Committee of his Majestys Justices of the peace appeared
for that purpose and published in the Year 1766 are now absolute and
unnecessary and that many orders for the further regulation of the
proceedings of the Justices and their Officers have been made since the
said Publication which ought to be printed It is Ordered that it be and
it is hereby referred to the Committee appointed to carry into immediate
and effectual execution the repair of New Prison
and Clerkenwell Bridewell
to collect revise, correct, and make such alteration in addition to or
subtraction from the standing Rules or Orders of Court now in being
relating to the proceedings of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for this
County and their Officers as to them shall seem meet; and class the
same in order for Publication and what the said Committee shall be
in the Premises to report to his Majestys Justices of the Peace
in
Session assembled.
