By adjournment Thursday 14th September 1775

His Majestys Justices of the peace for the County of Middlesex
assembled in this present Gent . Session of the peace do unanimously
Reelect Sir John Hawkins< no role > Knight Chairman of the General and
General Quarter Sessions of the peace for this County for and during the
half Year now next ensuing And do give thanks to the said Chairman
for his great attention to the interests and Welfare of this County and his
public Services in the administration of Justice as Chairman of the said
Sessions

NB: From a desire to accommodate the Chairman and
to render his Seal less fatigueing it was the unanimously Sence
of the Court that the Chairman attendance on Saturday during
the Session should in future be dispensed with

By adjournment same day

The Deputy Clerk of the peace having laid before his
Court a Letter which he had received from W. William Woodfall< no role > the
printer of the Morning Chronicle containing an apology for his
having inserted the infamous libel on the Justices for which it was
ordered that he should be prosecuted and Offering to publish an
paragraph in his paper to the like purpose being new read It
is Ordered that if the sd Wm. Woodfall< no role > will publish such an
apology for his Conduct with respect to the Justices as shall be
formed and settled by the Chairman and under the same in
person at Hicks Hall that in such Case the order of Court of the
13th. July for prosecuting the said William Woodfall< no role > only be rescinded

By adjournment same day

Thomas Bird< no role > High Constable of the Hundred of
Spelthorne in this County is fined Ten Pounds for a Concern pt
of the Court in not attending the Court here pursuant to an order
of Court Heretofore made and Served upon him
