The following Report of the Committee appointed to carry into
immediate and effectual Execution the Repair of New Prison
and
Clerkenwell
Bridewell
being laid before this Court and the same being
Read Vizt.

The Report of the Committee appointed to carry into immediate
and Effectual Execution the Repair of New Prison
and Clerkenwell
Bridewell
The said Committee Report
That in pursuance of their Order of Reference they proceeded to
Examine the Bills of the several Workmen employed in the Repair of New
Prison
and the Work and charges therein being certified by the Surveyor
to be according to the Conditions of their respective Contracts the Committee
ordered the payment of the balance due to each of the Contractors on
their Respective accounts Vizt.

That having referred a Bill of Joseph Woods< no role >
for 46..10..6¼ for
painting (done after the death of the Contractor for that branch) to be
reconsidered by him the charges appearing much too high and the
said Wood having made on offer to take off a penny per Yard upon
the two first Articles in the said Bill but it not appearing to the
Committee a sufficient abatement the Committee ordered the payment
of Forty Pounds to the said Wood
in full of his Account
The Committee also ordered the payment of John
Steely Bill for Iron Work done in the said Repair by contract as
above having first been satisfied upon a doubt that the Charge
