By adjournment 13th July 1775

The Report of the Prison Committee which was read and agreed
to in April Session last and which now stood for confirmation being
read Article by Article and Separate motions being made and put
thereon It is Ordered that the said Report be and the same is
hereby ratified and confirmed on every Article separately and
collectively accordingly

The Opinion of the Court being desired whether the
Act of Parliament for the Relief of Prisoners charged with felony or oth [..]
"Crimes who shall be acquitted or discharged by Proclamation
"respecting the Payment of fees to Goalers and giving a Recompenee
"for such fees out of the County Rates" extends to the deprivation of the
Right of the Clerk of the Peace to fees for persons discharged under [..]
same It is the Opinion of this Court that the Act does not
destroy the right of the Clerk of the Peace to fees for Persons discharge
under the same and that persons are not fully discharged thereby
until the Pay the same

A Report from the Committee appointed to
Examine the mode adopted by the Session form time to time on
settling the Proportion charged upon the Several Parishes Precincts
Liberties and places in the County of Middlesex and City and Liberty
of Westminster to their County Rate Etc. being made to this Court and the
same being read as follows The Committee Report That having
taken into Consideration to the reference to them made Vizt to
Examine into the mode adopted by the Session from time to time
in Settling the proportion charged upon the Several Parishes Precincts
Liberties and Places in the County of Middlesex and City and Liberty
of Westminster to their County Rate since the 12th. of George the Secon [..]
Read the Act of Parliament made in the last mentioned Year for
the More Easy Assessing Collecting and Levying County Rates
and Examined the Several Orders of Session respecting the Rem [..]
from that time, The Committee are of Opinion that notwith
-standing the Several County Rates made in pursuance of the
said
