That each Bill be Numbred and paid in Course according to the
date thereof with Interest at the Rate of 4th. P Cent"

That no Bill be for less then 10th"

The Comittee apprehend that the ill Consequences of That will
accrew to the Publick from such Proceedings are very many
and having been felt in Cases of the like nature, the Comittee
is satisfied will not be encouraged in this Case

These are some of the Mismanagemts. of the Trustees that
the Commee have Collected and thought necessary to lay before
the Sessions And since the Act of Parliamt. has given the
finall Determinacon to the Justices of Peace in Quarter
Sessions (Let their Determinacon be what they think fit
as to the Particulars above menconed yet) The Commee
think the following Rules or some other of the like nature
are very Reasonable to be transmitted to the Trustees

That there be 25 Bushell of Ballast measured & Put into
every Cart that if employed on the Road and when the Cart
is filled, let the Head Board, Tail Board, and side Board
be Markt just above the Ballast with such a Mark as
Shalbe thought proper And that no Cart be Suffer'd to
work that is not so Markt. So that after the Carts are
Markt they may be filled without fraud

Every Cart that if employed is paid 10s. a day should
have two Men to attend the Cart one to fill and the other
to drive, So that he that is employed to fill must Stand
Still till the Return of the Cart Therefore let Labourers
be employed to fill the Carts, thereby much would be Saved
for the Carts having but one Man may Work for 9s. a day
or less, and the Work better done

Care should be taken by the Surveyrs. That each Cart
carried a many Load within the time appointed as was
reasonable, whereas now the Course is to reckon 5 Load
at most within the days work when in many Cases the
distances being short the same Carts might with ease
carry many more

No Teames ought to Work in Winter time but in Case of
necessity because it is plain they are not able to done
above half a days Work
