the former licences, In deceipt of the Justices granting the
same, As also that whoever succeeds or takes any house
that is publiquely known to have been disorderly for any
considerable time and to be Supprest for the same, Do
generally take such house for the custom belonging to it
and continue the same ill Practices therein, The Referrees
do therefore propose that it be recomended to the Justices
in their severall Divisions when any licence shall
be supprest or refused renewall on account of Gaming
lewdness or disorders to grant no licence to any one
whomsoever for Selling liquors therein, but to referr
any Persons applying for licences to this Court, where the
Justices refuseing and the Persons applying for licences
may be heard, and all Surprize & deceipt thereby Prevented
And that the Referrees have also considered of Private
Cawdy houses where no liquors are Sold, but can find no
remedy against them, Save only by the comon methods
of frequently Searching them, and causing them to be
Presented or indicted on the Oyer, in Order to corporall
& exemplary Punishment Proporsonable to the offence

This Court upon consideracon had of the Said Report Is of
Opinion that the Putting of the Laws above mentioned in
exemcon, and the observance of the Rules above
Prescribed will be the most effectual method under the
Present Laws for suppressing such Publique Gameing
houses and houses of bawdry as aforesaid, and for
Preventing the mischiefs which may otherwise be
occasioned thereby, And doth therefore Order that the
Rules contained in the said Report be observed as
Rules and Direccons enjoyned by this Court, And it is
hereby recomended into his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for this County within their respective Divisions to
assemble and meet together from time to time at such
