D'Oyly Michel< no role > Esqrs Whereas upon Convictions made before Justices of the peace
for this County against Hawkers and Pedlars Selling Goods
without due Licences and against other persons who
prophanely Swear or Curse, exercise their Trades or
employments on the Lords day, Sell Beer or Ale in Short
or unsealed measures, or without licence, or Sett buttons
on Cloaths of the same Cloath or stuff the cloaths are made of
and for several other Offences, by vertue of the Laws in such
Cases made and provided, several Sums of Money are
forfeited to the use of the poor of the parish hamblett or
place where such offence or Offences are committed,
Now to the end that such Moneys may be duly answered
and paid to the Overseers of the poor of the respective
parishes hambletts and places unto whom by Law, the
same do belong for the use of the poor thereof, It is
thought fitt and ordered by this Court that all & every
the Clerke and Clerkes to the Justices of the peace of this
County do hereafter keep books and therein make
fair Entries of the true Christian and Sir names and
places of aboad of all and every person and persons
who shall be convicted before such Justice or
Justices of the peace for any offence or offences for
which any Sum or part of any Sum of money is
forfeited to the Use of the poor of any parish hamblett
or place in this County and of the times when convicted &
for what Offence or Offences such forfeiture or forfeitures
is or are incurred, and to what parish or place the same
belongs or is payable, and of the whole Sum and Sums of
money forfeited and by whom received upon each
Conviction, whether by the Justice of the peace or his
Clerk, and to whom paid over and the times when,
And that the said Clerks do from time to time transmitt
a true and faithfull accompt thereof in writing to
