Inhitants It is thought fit & ordered that Joseph Worster< no role > Gent High
Constable of the said Division doe forthwith cause a Strong Watch
to be sett as near as conveniently may be to the severall Warehouses &
places where such quantity's of Powder are kept as aforesaid for
preventing any damage that may happen to such Inhitants by
fire And that for paymt. of Watchman's wages & defraying the
expence thereof the respective Inhitants of the said severall
InhitantsParishes who are Usually present at the Making of
parish rates doe forthwith assemble and meet together at such
convenient place or places as they shall think fit & make an
equall rate or rate upon the Inhitants of the respective parishes
for rouseing of such sume or sumes of money as in their
opinions will be sufficient for defraying the expence of the said
Watches and paying thewatchesWages of the Watchmen
employed therein and that after such Rate or Rates shall
be made they do therewith attend two or more of his
Maties. Justices of the peace of this County Inhiting in
or near the said Parishes for their approbacon and
allowance thereof And that after the same shall be
soe approved & allowed of they doe forthwith collect the
moneys thereby assessed and thereout Pay what shall
be due to the Watchmen employed or to be employed in
such service as aforesaid.
