The Informations of Charles Wood< no role > Servant to
Thomas Pierson< no role > of Thames Street London
Wharfinger and Thomas Berry< no role > of Shows Fields
in the County of Surry Kings Watchman
Taken in Writing and upon Oath before
me Robert Peckham< no role > Esquare one of the
Aldermen of the said City this 25th July 1781

Who on their Oaths say that being upon their Watch upon
Dice Rupy Thames Street on the seventeenth of July Instant
between the hours of one and two o'Clock in the Morning and
upon examinig the Locks of Warehouses there discovered that of
the said Thomas Pierson< no role > to have been forced open That
they thereupon went into the Warehouse and in the Cellar
saw the Prisoner Edward Bond< no role > who immediately upon their
coming in Undeavoured to conceal himself behind a Cask that
stood in the Cellar whereupon that,they went [..] and
secured him That upon Informants asking the Prisoner
his Business there he told them that he had been hired
by a Man whose Name he did not knew to cary some
bundles which were in the Cellar to [..] Rother [..] the
that near the Prisoner stood two Bundles containing
77 Pounds weight of Sugar which appeared to have
been fresh packed up and taken out of a Cask standing
