At the General Session of the Delivery
of the Gaol of our Lord the King of Newgate holden for the City of
London at Justice Hall in the Old Bailey within the Parish of
Saint Sepulchre in the Ward of Farringdon without in London
aforesaid on Wednesday the 12th Day of January in the 20th.
year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord< no role > Geo the Third King
of Great Britain Etc

John [..] alland committed for being accessary after the fact
to wit, by feloniously harbouring comforting maintaining and
Assisting in the City of London one Servant Taylor knowing he
had feloniously stolen taken and carried away one Bag of Letters
called the Leicester Bag of Letters sent and conveyed by the post
Is ordered to remain in his Majesty< no role > 's Gaol of Newgate untill
the next General Session unless he can find sufficient Bail
before the Right Honble the Lord Mayor< no role > giving forty Eight
Hours Notice of Bail to Mr. Parkins< no role > Solicitor for the
General Post Office

After making the above Order, and at the same Sessions, Callum, the
Prisoner procured Bail, Viz; Joseph Clark< no role > of Black Lyon Yard
White Chapel Weaver & Tobias Wildman< no role > of Plow Street White Chapel
Tobacconist , who Entered into Recognizance with the prisoner for
his Appearance at the Sessions after the then next Bedford Assizes,
upon which the Prisoner had his enlargement

An Indictment was preferred and found agt. Serjeant Taylor
the principal at the last Bedford Assizes as Appears by the following
Certificate

These are to Certify that at the Session of Oyer and Terminer
Lord the King of the County of Bedford holden at Bedford
County aforesaid on Thursday the 9th. Day of March in
the 20th. year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord Geo: the Third
King of Great Britain Etc Serjeant Taylor late of the Parish
of Dunstable in the County aforesaid Labourer was rated
Indicted for feloniously stealing taking and carrying away [..]
and out of a certain Mail of our said Lord the King called the
