Case offending and against the Peace of our sd. Lord the King his Crown and
Dignity And the Jurors afsd. upon their Oath afsd. further present that the
said Hugh Johnson< no role > on the sd. 21st: day of December in the 19th: Year aforesaid
and long before and always after untill the day of the taking of this Inquisition
was and hath been inhabiting & resiant paying Seat and bearing Lot
within the Parish of St Clement Cast Cheap in the ward of Langbourn afsd.in
London afsd: and that within the sd. Wardof Langbourn without there in and
and that within the sd. Ward ofthere is and from time whereof
the Memory of Man is not to the contrary there hath been a certain Court of our sd. present
Sovereign Lord the King and his Predecessors called the Wardmote hold and to be held in
every Year upon the Feast of St. Thomas the A past humble the said Feast happened
to be or fall on as Sunday And in such Case upon the day then next following the said in
Feast before the Alderman of the sd. Ward for the time being or his Deputy in which sd.
Court according to the Custom of the sd. Ward for all the time last afsd. used & approved
to wit in the Parish of St. Dionis Back Church in the ward aforesaidall the Men inhabiting &
Resiant paying Seat & bearing Lot within the sd. Ward for the time being have been
used & accustomed & ought & were bound by reason of then residence to appear in the said Court & do their
suit therein the same Courtand in the sd. Court according to the Custom of the said Ward
the sd. Men inhabiting and Resitant paying Seat & bearing & within the same Ward
for the time being were Yearly during the whole time last afsd: used & accustomed and ought
to appoint & choose divers Persons then inhabiting & resiant & paying Seat & bearing
