Edwin Pain< no role > of Northampton Street Woods Close Tripeman maketh Oath
and saith that in the Month of December last past he was bound by Recognizance
to prosecute and John Marriott< no role > for stealing a quantity of Sheeps Offal this
Deponent Property at the Session held for the City of London at Justice Hall in
the Old Bailey on Wednesday the fourteenth day of January last past And this
Deponent further Saith that Soon after he was so bound by Recognizance as
aforesaid and before the said Session he had the misfortune to be most
violently and dangerously bit by a Dog in the Leg which rendered him
unable to attend at such Session to prosecute the said John Marriott< no role > and
Whereby his said Recognizance became forfeited And this Deponent further
saith that ever since his said His fortune he has been and still is under
the hands of a Surgeon And lastly this Deponent saith that he did
not neglect to prosecute the said John Marriott< no role > from any favour or
Affection or for any Reward or hope or premise thereof but that he
was unavoidably presented from so doing by the cause above mentioned
