taken before me this 22nd day of August 1776 .

Who being upon Oath says that a person now present who
calls himself Barnard Christian de Nassan Dietz< no role > directed this
Informant to procure to be Engraved for his use a Blank
Promissory Note in which he desired the sum to be Expressed
in white Letters on a Black Ground in Bold German Text.
and gave other Directions in a Paper now produced.
