Thomas Williams< no role > of Saint John Street Hackney Coachman
Maketh Oath that in last April Session as this Deponent hath been
informed a Recognizance was returned into this Honourable Court from the
Right Honourable the Lord Mayor in which this Deponent appears to be bound
to give Evidence against the abovenamed prisoner for Feloniously stealing
several things out of this Deponents Coach and this Deponent Saith that all he
could say respecting the said Felony was that he saw the things put into his
Coach but did not see them nor could he tell who took them out And this Deponent
Saith that he Attended before the Lord Mayor when the above named Prisoner
was examined but follow Saith but that he did not Know he was bound in any Recognizance
or whether any thing more was to be done against the said prisoner or that it was
necessary for this Deponent afterwards to Attend thisHonourableHonourable Court
And that if this Deponent had be very willingly would have so done And this
Deponent Saith that after he came from before the Lord Mayor with the prosecutrix
he told her that if she should at any time want this Deponent and would send
him word that he would Attend her (as he had before done against Two persons
who had been examined on Suspicion of the above Felony) but this Deponent
did not receive any Notice from her or any other person nor did to knew or hear
that the said prisoner was to be Tried for the said offence or he would have
Attended this Honourable Court all given his hardtors against him And this
Deponent Saith that he did not Neglect to Attend and give herdence against the
prisoner through any favour or affection for him or for any Reward or the
hope or promise thereof but that it was entirly reasioned by the means aforesaid
