maketh Oath and saith that he this Deponent was bound by
Recognizance to appear at the Sessions of the Peace and of Goal Delivery
of Newgate
holden for the City of London at the Justice Hall in the
Old Bailey in the Month of April last and then and there to prosecute
William Kendrick< no role >
for Felony and this Deponent further Saith that
he was utterly a stranger to the mode and manner of conducting this
prosecution having never been concerned in any prosecution of this
kind in his Life And this Deponent further saith that he at that
time understood that he this Deponent was to have Notice by Summons
to appear agst. the said William Kendrick at the time it was necessary
to carry on the said Prosecution And this Deponent further saith
that from his Ignorance and his expectation to be Summoned to
appear to carry on the said Prosecution he did not Attend at the
Old Bailey and Prosecute the said William Kendrick for the felony
aforesaid agreeable to his Recognizance And this Deponent further
saith that he did not omit Attending and Prosecuting the said
William Kendrick from any desire that the said William Kendrick
should escape Justice or do as any trouble or expence in carrying
on the said Prosecution but Purly from his this Deponent Ignoras
in expecting to be Summoned or sent to at the time it was necessary
for him this Deponent to appear and Prosecute the said William
Kendrick for the Felony aforesaid
