John Jackson< no role > of London Merchant one of
the prosecutors in this cause Maketh Oath That John
sherbon
< no role > of the Town of Coreman then in South wales
Mariner & Charles Jones< no role > of the same place Yeoman
are Material Witnesses for the said prosecution and without
whose Testimony the prosecutors cannot as this Deponent
is advised Y believes safely proceed to the Tryal of the
said Causes, and saith that the said John sherbon for
some years past hath ben and now is as this Deponent
is informed and believes Master of the ship or vessell
called the Lovely Cruizer employed in the Coasting Trade
between England Wales and Ireland, and that he
this Deponent Caused the said John Sherbon< no role > to be sent
for by Express, and who hath come from Liverpool to
London and is now detained here at a Considerable
Expence on purpose to give his Evidence for the prosecutors
on the said Tryals at this Present Sessions and saith he is
informed and believes that the said ship is detained at
the Expence of the prosecutors untill the said master
thereof can return to her to take command thereof
and the said John Sherbon< no role > Informs this Deponent
which he believes to be true that he cannot undertake
or promise to attend the Tryal of this Cause at the
next or any future sessions If he should proceed with his said
vessell in the Course of his said Business as it is
very uncertain where he may be at the time of
the next or any future Sessions, and this Depont.
