Said City.
The Informent on his Oath saith That on the
tenth of December last past he bought of the person
now present giving his name Jacob Levy< no role >
Four
Telishopes, three of wich are now produced, and the
other this Informant sold to Captain
Robert Waxshutt< no role >
Cortes Pounds twelve shillings and Six Pence and
this Infomant further faith That he agreed with the
said Jacob Levy< no role >
for the said Four Telescopes for the sum of
Five pounds Five shillings And this Informant
further saith that he enquired of the said Levywhow
he came by the said Telescopes who replied he bought
the same of his the said Levys [..] in London And
this Informant also saith That this day he went with
James hale< no role >
of the said City of Bristol
to the Lodging of the
said Levy in the Long Row
in the said City of Bristol
& therefore and heard the said hole agreefor thewith
the said Levy for the other two Telescopes now likewise produced
for the price or sum of Five Guineas Where upon the said
Hale [..] charged the said Levy in Custody of James Perrott< no role >
Major's serjeant
and one of the Constables
of and belonging
to the said City and County of Bristol
who attended forth at
purpose on suspition of steeling the same and this
Informant also saith That sinc he bought the said
Telescopes as aforesaid he hath seen and Read an advertisement
describing six Telescopes of the same size [..] length and
discription with these now crowned [..] & what he sold to the said
Captain Whaxshutt [..] as aforesaid to have been stolen out of
house in White Lyon Court

Verily believes to be the same Telescopes which was so stolen
crom the said House in White
