the Prisoner was lately employed as a
Letter Carrier
in the General Post Office and was apprehended
and committed for feloniously taking a Bill of Exchange
of the Value of Twenty four Pounds ten shillings out of a
Letter which was committed to his care to deliver which
Money he received and converted to his own two as this
Deponent verily believes And this Deponent saith that a
Bill of Indictment cannot sefely be preferred against the
prisoner at this present sessions a material witness to
support the prosecution against him whose name is Edward Jones< no role >
being at this
time in wales
but that the said John Martindale< no role >
will be
tried for the said Offence at the next sessions to be
here held as this Deponent is informed and
verily believes.
