Emanuel Mayers< no role > of Bishopgate Street London Jeweller and Thomas Bushby< no role > of the Parish of St. James
Clerkenwell in the County of Middx Yeoman severally make oath and say and first the said Emanuel Mayers< no role > for
himself saith that he this Deponent Emanuel Mayers< no role > did on thursday the twentieth day of June last obtain a
Summons (upon several Affidavits filed by him this Deponent on the behalf of the said defendant) under the hand
of his Majesties Attorney General purporting that the prosecutrix of the Indictment against the said defendant
her Attorney Sollicitor, or Clerk in Court should attend the said Attorney General at his Chambers in Lincolns Inn
on Monday then next at Six of the clock in the evening to shew cause why a Noli Prosequi should not be entered
on the said Indictment of which notice should be given to all Parties concerned forthwith, And this Deponent further
saith that he this Deponent did on the said Monday being the twenty fourth day of June aforesaid obtain another
Summons under the hand of his Majesties said Attorney General purporting that the Prosecutrix of the
said Indictment against the said defendant her Attorney Sollicitor or Clerk in Court should attend the said
Attorney General at his Chambers in Lincolns Inn on Wednesday then next at Six of the clock in the evening
to shew cause as in the said Summons first setforth is mentioned;Copies of which said two several
Summons as he this Deponent hath been informed and verily beleives were duly and timely served on one
Mr. Jopson who is concerned as Attorney or Sollicitor for the Prosecutrix of the said Indictment and who is
also one of the Witnesses upon the said Indictment as he this Deponent hath been informed and verily beleives
And this Deponent saith that he this Deponent did accordingly attend at the respective times and place
limitted and specified in and by the said two several summons But neither the said Prosecutrix, or the
said Mr. Jopson or any one else on her behalf did them and there at either of the said times, attend in pursuance of
the said Summons or either of them. And this Deponent saith that during the time of his attendance on the said
last mentioned Summons he the Deponent was informed by the Clerk of the said Mr Attorney General that he
the said Mr. Attorney General was gone out of town for a few days. & that on his return back he this Deponent
night have another Summons and not before, And this Deponent further saith that he this Deponent
did on tuesday the second day of this instant July obtain a third Summons under the hand of his Majesties said
Attorney General purporting that the Prosecutrix of the Indictment against the said defendant her
Attorney Sollicitor or Clerk in Court should attend the said Attorney General at his Chambers in Lincolns
Inn on friday next at six of the clock in the evening to shew cause as in the said first summons above
setforth is mentioned a true Copy whereof he this Deponent did on the same day personally serve on the sd.
Mr. Jopson. And the said Deponent Thomas Bushby< no role > for himself saith that he this Deponent did on Monday
the first day of July instant personally serve the said Mr. Jopson with a true Copy of the notice hereunto annexed
