James Sympson< no role > of Wardour Street Tapanner Maketh Oath & saith
that on Thursday the 13th: of June 1751. being in his own parlour he saw
a Crowd of People & asked what was the matter & was Informd that
two Carvers were going to fight, Say that he went with a Neighbour
to see them & saw one of them who he was Charles Troop< no role > Stript &
trembled very much & when the Deced & he came together they shook
Hands, But both seemd to be very Drunk, Says then they attacked
each other & the Deced Bartholemew Endeavouring to make a Blow
he fell down, says that they had Several falls, but did not see em to
hurt one another, Says that there was a Brick Sat near where the
Deced fell, but did not see him fall on it

Joseph Perfect< no role > of Church Lane Silver Buckle maker Maketh Oath & saith
that on Thursday the 13th: day of this Inst. June he was informd by
Mrs. Bartholemew that her Husband was gone out with a Large Sume
of Money, And in the Evening to his great Surprise saw a Coach stop &
his Neighbour Geo: Bartholomew< no role > taken out of the sd. Coach, As if he
was Dead. Says that he set up with him & that he went to a Surgeon
who gave this Depont. something for him to take at twice, But could
not take it, And that he dyed in the Morning

Mr. Thos: Tipping< no role > Surgeon Maketh Oath & Saith that he has open'd the
Head of the Deced George Bartholomew< no role > & found a fracture on the Oss
Planum near the left Eye which he apprehend could not have been
done with the fist, But might have been done either by a Stick or
Violent Weapon or a fall on a Stone, Says there was another Wound
on the forehead but not Mortal into Nature, But the first was,
says that he then Opend the Body & found some Extravasated
Blood and the Liver Putrifyed.
