The humble Petition & Appeal of the Church Wardens
and Overseers of the poor of theParish ofMiddle
Parish in the Town of Guildford in the County of
Surry.
Sheweth
That by Virtue of a Warrant under the hands & Seals of two
of his Maties Justices of the peace for the City of London (Quox unus)
bearing Date the 29th day of September 1721 a female
Bastard Child named Mary aged about Eleven Weeks was Soul
& delivered by the Church Wardens & Overseers of the poor of
the parish of St Stephen Coleman Street
London to the said

Alledging
the sd parish to be the place of its last Legal Settlement
That your Petitionrs conceive themselves
agrieved by the Sd Warrt & Judgment of the Said
two Justices and do most humbly Appeal to your
Honour & Worps therefrom
Yr petrs therefore most humbly pray
Yr Honour & Worps will be pleased to
Save em the Benefit of this Appeal &
Adjourn it till the next Sessions & Order
that the Church Wardens & Overseers
of the poor of ye sd parish of St Stephen
Coleman street London may then appear
& hear & abide the determinacon of
this Court touching ye sd Appeal
