Whereas Complaint hath beene made unto us
Two of his Maties. Justices of the peace for the said
Citty (Quor Unus) by the Church Wardens and Overseers
of the poore of the parish of St. Gregoryes London,
That about Tenn or Eleaven Years since a Female
Child (being then very young) was dropt in the sd parish
by Psons unknowne, and hath beene ever since chargeable
to thereto, and was by the ordr. & direccon of the then
Church-Wardens & Overseeres of the poore of the said
parish Captized, and called by the name of Anne
Gregory< no role > ; And whereas it appears unto us upon the
Sevall Affidts. of Mary Miles< no role > , Mary Glynn< no role > & Elizabeth
East< no role > , that the said Female Child is a Bastard Child
& was Corne of the body of one Hannah Lea< no role > in the Hamblett
of Ratcliffe in the parish of Stepney in the County of
Middx Singlewoman , and was there Captized by the
name of Elizabeth< no role > , where we doe adjudge the said
Child was last legally settled.

These are therefore in his Maties. Name Strictly to
Charge and Command you the Church Wardens &
Overseeres of the poore of the said Parish of St.
Gregories London , or some or one of you upon Sight
hereof, To remove and Convey the body of the said
Female Bastard Child out of yor. said parish unto
the said Hamblett of Ratcliffe in the said parish of
Stepney & County aforesd. and her deliver unto the
Church Wardens & Overseers of the poore there, or
to some or one of them who are hereby required her
to receive and Pvide for (as occasion shall require)
untill they shall be of her legally discharged, and
for soe doeing this shall be yor. Warrt. Given under
our hands and Seales this 7th. day of July Ao. Dm
1699 .
