And first this Informant Edward Barnett< no role >

himself saith that Thomas Girling< no role >
who was for
some time before and until he was apprehended as
herein after stated a Letter Carrier belonging to the
General Post Office
London, lodged with this
Informant for several Months Prior to the 4th
day of August last and saith that he was on that
day apprehended for certain offences against the
Laws relating to the Post Office
and further saith
that he is now in Custody in his Majestys Goal
of Newgate for the same Offences as this Informant
has been informed and verily believes And this
Informant also saith that on the 14th. day of the
said month of August he found the Promissory Note
now produced, purporting to be a Bath City Bank
