Apartment in this Informants Dwelling House
in Lascelles Place aforesaid rented and inhabited
by the said Thomas Girling< no role > and that he so found
the same note hid behind the Box of the said Thomas
Girling
< no role > and the Wainscot in the said Room And
this Informant John Greenwell< no role > for
himself saith that [..] about the4th. day of July
latter End of June, or beginning of July last he enclosedthe said note now produced on a
a Ba [..] Bank Note For Five Guineas & verily believes that the Note now produced is this Identical Note in a Letter directed to in. Ann Meynell at Bath
and that he delivered the said Letter with the said
Note therein inclosed as aforesaid on the same
day to Henry Hand Porter to Mr. Meynell of Hill
Street Berkley Square in order to be by him the
said Henry Hand given to the Postman to be
forwarded by the Post to Bath And this
Informant further saith that he hath been
informed by the said Mrs. Ann Meynell (and
which Information he verily believs to be true)
that the said Mrs. Ann Meynell never Received
the said Letter and Note or either of them And
this Informant Henry Hand for himself saith
that he received from the said Mr. Greenwell on or
about the 4th. day of July last a Letter directed to
Mrs. Ann Meynell at Bath with Directions to
give the same to the Postman to be forwarded by
the Post And saith that he delivered the said
Letter safe and in the state and on the day that
he received it to Thomas Girling< no role > whom this
Deponent well knew to be a Letter Carrier
belonging to the General Post Office and that he
