for himself saith that a little past four
OCock this [..] Morningashe went into Princes Court Hodge lane
to call the Hour and perceived (the person now present who calls

Gilroy knocking at a Door with two hats under
his arm; this Inft then asked him what he did with those Hats
he said he had brought them from Kensington
and was going to take
them to his Master in Davies Street, and Immediately put both
the Hats upon his head and run away but dropt them in Hedge lane

then Sprung his rattle and persued him into Leicester fields
what he was stoped by Another watchman,

near the corner of Green
Street that he heard a rattle and saw the prisoner Thomas Gilray
running across the Corner of the Square towards cranbourn Alley
that this Inft. run before him with Intent to stop him, that
When this Infort came up to him, he stoped and made a spring and
got away, that this Inft [..] just as he got up to him heard something
rattle that he persued him again and came up to him near the
Corner of Leicester
Street where he had been Stopped by some
other Persons, that this Inft then took him to St Martins
Watch House
