The Information of Thomas Brady< no role > Francis Balls< no role >
Richard Porter< no role > and William Forsyth< no role > taken on Oath before
William Hyde< no role > Esquire one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex this Twenty Eighth Day of July
1789

And first Thomas Brady< no role > for himself saith that he met
the prisoner Joseph Lee< no role > on Saturday night the eighteenth Instantlastnear
twelve o'Clock in the City Road in Company with
several other prisons about fourteen or fifteen, that
the said Joseph Lee< no role > asked him how he did and imme-
diately held him while another person took eight
Shillings, some half pence, and Handkerchief, a Stock
and two Keys out of his Pocket, that after his money
had been taken away the Prisoner took his Hat
from off his head, but on this Informant beging for
his life the prisoner gave him his Hat again

And Francis Balls< no role > for himself saith that on
Monday Evening about a quarter past ten o'Clock
he heard that Brady had been robbed by Joseph Lee< no role >
and some other that he went in Company with
a Watchman to the House where Lee lived and asked
if he was at home and was answered by his Wife
that he was not, that this Informant then said
he knew he was at home and would break the door
open if he did not open it. That the Prisoner asked
who was wanted, that the Watchman said he had a
charge against him, the Prisoner answered I Know
