Thomas Samuel< no role > confesses and Says he is Apprentice to James Mather< no role > of St.
Ann Middlesex Wharfinger and Ship Owner. And that he was with William Anderson< no role >
and Thomas Gardiner< no role > at the Taking the Dead Eye with the Iron Chain Bolt and
plate affixed thereto now produced out of his said Masters Yard situate near the
Orchard House at Blackwell better than a fortnight ago which they carryed to the
House of the person present who says his Name is James Chapman< no role > who payd them
at the Rate of a penny a pound for the same and divided the mony equally between
them the whole amount he cannot SaySays he has been about Three times in all
at the House of the said James Chapman< no role > Twise with other dead Eyes with Thomas Gardiner< no role >
and another lad who has run away which they took out of their said Masters Yard
and Sold to the said James Chapman< no role >

James Chapman< no role > says he bought the Two Dead Eyes without any Chain thereto produced of William Anderson< no role >
and Thomas Gardiner< no role > about Thursday or Friday last was a fortnight at One penny per pound
weight They allowing something out of it for the weight of the Wood how much he cannot
says and that last Saturday night was afortnight he bought the Iron Axle Tree produced
of William Anderson< no role > and Thomas Gardiner< no role > and another person not present who he paid at
the Rate of a Penny a Pound for the same but how much it came to he cannot tell
and that his Wife Ann informed him the other Articles found in his house on Saturday
night Last and claimed to be the property of Mr. Mather she bought by of the Three last present who say
their names are William Anderson< no role > Thomas Gardiner< no role > and Thomas Samuel< no role > That they
[..] told her the same was given to them by the Chief Mate of a Vessel at the Orchard
house

Iron Axle Tree and Iron Stantint and Iron Shovel produced are the property of his said Master And that the Dead
Eyes produced are the property of his said Master and Christopher Watson< no role > all
of Which Articles have been lately stolen out of His Said Masters Yard
situate as aforesaid except the Stantient whill was taken out of Broad Street Yard

William Mather< no role > on his Oath says on Saturday night last receiving Information
from William Anderson< no role > That a Quantity of Chain Plates and other Articles
which said Anderson and Other had Stolen from Mr Mathers Yard at Blackwal
were carried and sold by them to a men who lived near Limehouse Bridge
her with Anderson went to the House of James Chapman< no role > Where he found
All the several Articles now produced in a Back Shop except the Iron Stantient which he took
from the said William Anderson< no role > as he was coming out of the Yard [..] at Broad Street Ratcliff the same night
belonging to the said James Mather< no role >
