this Informants House in order to Measure it That this Informant
took one Bundle and the said Judith Levy< no role > two Bundles, and came
out, heaving saidtwoMen in said Moses Levys< no role > HouseThat they
measured said Lace in the one Pair of Stairs Room of this Informants
House in Arrow Alley Petticoat Lane aforesaid in the Presence of
this Informants Husband and her Sister Jane Joseph< no role > and that
said Moses Levy< no role > followed them and came into said Room soon
after theirThat before they began to Measure, they had a
Pint of Brandy Hot which was fetched by the said Jane Joseph
That after having fastened the Doors, by the direction of the said
Judith Levy they proceeded to measure the said Lace in the
presence of the said Moses Levy who assisted them therein
That there were 300 Yards and upwards of black Lace and 500
Yards and upwards of white LaceThat after the said Lace
was measured, said Judith Levy proposed that each of them
Should keep a Remnant on two of said Lace for their own
use and that the Lace now produced are the Remnants which
this Informant took accordinglyThat said Moses Levy, Judith
Levy and this Informant went to Mrs. Clare Levy< no role > who lives at
the next House and offered to Sell the Lace to her for 50 Guineas
That said Clare Levy looked over said Lace and said it was
not worth 25 GuineasThat they tied it up again and said
Judith Levy and this Informant took it back to said Judith
Levys house where they left it and this Informant further
says that she hath not since seen the said Lace, nor doth she
know what the said Moses Levy or Judith Levy have done
with it
