day of October 1784.
Who being on Oath say and first the said John Lock< no role >
says
that on Friday the 8th. Instant, a Silver Watch his property was Stolen
out of the Parlour of Mrs. Vincent in Old Bond Street
to whom
he is Shopman, that on Tuesday last he advertised [..] said [..] atch
that on the said Tuesdaysaida personcame to Informant
and told him said Watch had been taken in Pawn at Mr.
Cates's in the Strand
, That Informant went and Redeemed
said Watch. And the said John Boyd< no role >
says that on Friday
the 8th. Instant about 9 o'Clock in the morning a Person now
present who calls himself George Smith< no role >
alias John Renshaw< no role >
came to his Masters Shop (Mr. Cates in the Strand
Pawnbroker)
and Pledged said Watch for £1..11..6. That this day said
Smith alias Renshaw came to his said Masters shop to
have 5 Shillings more lent on said Watch when Informant Stopped
him and brought him to the Public Office in Bow Street
