The Information of Joseph Laver< no role > of Three
Colt Street in the Parish of Saint Ann Middlesex
Gardener Taken this first day of October 1784
before us two of his Majestys Justices of the
Dean in and for the said County.

Who being on his Oath saith that having heard
of many Robberies being Committed in between Blackwall
and Stepney he in Company with John Jones< no role > . John
Smith
< no role > and Robert Smith< no role > on the Thursday the Twenty
third day of September last past went from Limehouse
to Stepney Armed with Intent to apprehended or to
do all in their powers to cause to he apprehended such
persons who had Committed the said Robberies.

That nothing happened on their going to Stepney
but when there they got into the Limehouse Stage Coach
and on their return from Stepney to Limehouse about
the Midway of Salmons Lane< no role > he heard a man hall [..]
but could not tell What he sayed. when the Coach
Immediately Stopped and a man came up to the side
of the Coach when this Informant was who perceiving
him to have a Blunderbuss dropt down and went
behind the wheel of the Coach when they all four
got out of the CoachThat Informant then pursued
one of Man but it being dark and he running faster
then this Informant he got away, but sayth that
he perceived John Jones< no role > and John Smith< no role > to follows
another man (and which man was the person as he believes who came up to he side
of the Coach as he has before described) who after
running about Twenty Yards fell down and was
secured by said Jones and John Smith< no role > ,- And this
