Middlesex to Wit

The Information of Thomas Compton< no role > taken before me
this 2nd. day of January 1783

Who being upon Oath saith that he knows two Persons now present
who call themselves Daniel Oakley< no role > and Richard Philimore< no role > and William
Jenkins
< no role > a Butcher now at largeThat on Saturday morning last
about 7 oClock the said Daniel Oakley< no role > called upon him at his
Lodgings in Sparrows Rents near Purpool Lane in the said County and
asked him if he would drink some BeerThat he went with
him to the House of Mr. White a Publica a in Purpool Lane where
he saw the said William Jenkins< no role > and Richard Philimore< no role > That
they had some Beer and afterwards Philimore asked this Informant
to take a WalkThat he went with the said Daniel Oakley< no role >
and Richard Philimore< no role > to the Coach and Horses at Paddington
where they had some Bread & Cheese & That Philimore then
asked said Oakley and this Informant to go along the Road
and return back again at about ½ an hour part 5 o Clock, at
which time he would have a Cart ready at said Coach and Horses
to steal some SheepThat they walked along the Road and
returned about half part 5 o Clock when this Informant observed
said William Jenkins< no role > and Richard Philimore< no role > with a Cart
and Horse at the Red Lion at Paddington That Oakley
and this Informant drank some Spirits at the Red Lion after
which said Jenkins drove said Cart along the Harrow Road , this
Informant and the other two walking some little wayThat
Philimore got up into said Cart and asked this Informant
to got up also, which he did, as did said Daniel Oakley< no role >
That said Philimore drove them in said Cart to a Field near
KilburnThat said William Jenkins< no role > Daniel Oakley< no role > Richard
Philimore
< no role > and this Informant staid tell said Philimore had
tied said Horse to a Hedge, when they all went into a Field
on the opposite side of the Road to where they had left the
Horse and CartThat they drove several Sheep into a corner
of said Field and tied six of them by the Legs when said
Philimore went for the Cart into which they were put
That said Philimore then drove thro Kilburn Turnpike towards
Town with said Sheep, and said Jenkins, Oakley and this
Informant walked on foot until the said Jenkins (who was
