The Information of John Porter< no role > at the Sun and Hat Block
Alehouse in the Maize , Tooley Street< no role > , South wark Stocking
maker , taken before me this 7th. day of January 1783

Who being upon Oath says, that this Evening about half
past 5 o Clock he went to Covent Garden Theatre. That in going
up the one Shilling Gallery Stairs, he saw a Person now present
who calls himself Daniel Martin< no role > on the left side of him
That in going higher up the Stairs he left the said Daniel
Martins hand against his Breeches pocket, at which tune
he is very sure he had in his Pocket Six Shillings.That
he told said Martin to keep his Hand from this Informants
pocket, soon after which he found his Pocket turned [..] out
and his Money gone. And further says that he is very sure
the said Daniel Martin< no role > picked his Pocket of the said six
shillings
