Middlesex to Wit

The Information of Benjamin Blackman< no role > of
Uxbridge in the said County Waggoner and
Elizabeth Parrott< no role > Servant to John Aldridge< no role >
Land lord of the Plough at Kensington
Grewel Pits taken before me this 3rd. day
of January 1783

Who being upon Oath says and first the said Benjamin
Blackman
< no role > says that on Friday Night the 27th. of December last
he went to the House of the said John Aldridge< no role > to SleepThat
said Aldridge told him that he might sleep there but that if
he did, he must sleep with a Man who was gone to Bed
That about 12 o Clock he was lighted up by said Aldridge to
a Dining Room, in which Room was a Bed and a Person
in bedThat he locked the Door and went to Bed at
which time he had in his Pocket sixteen shillings and
a Silver WatchThat he slept till 5 o Clock the next [..]
Morning and when he awoke he found himself alone,
the Door unlocked and wide open and the Person with
whom he had slept gone, That he searched his Breeches
and his said Money and Watch was [..] also gone
And the said Elizabeth Parrott< no role > says that a person now
present who calls herself Mary Pile< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. came to this
Informants said Masters House to sleep there (at which
time she was dressed in Mens Apparel and this Informant
understand her to be a Man) That She lighted the said
Mary Pile< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. to Bed in the said Dining Room where she
slept all NightThat in a Closet in said Dining Room
were two thread laced Capsa worked Muslin laced Handker-
-chief a Muslin Apron three other Caps and two
neck Handkerchiefs That about 5 o Clock in the morning
the said Benjamin Blackman< no role > came to this Informant
and said that he had been robbed of his Watch and
