The King agt. William Frankland< no role > Gent
on a prosecution for Felony

Robert Falkner< no role > of Salisbury Court Fleet Street London
Harpsickord Maker and Music Printer maketh Oath and
saith that he hath been acquainted for Six Months last
past with the above named Dependant William Frankland< no role >
late of Kensington in the County of Middlesex Gentleman
now a Prisoner in Newgate for having Shot at Thomas Miller< no role >
seventh day of November last And this Deponent saiththat
that the said William Frankland< no role > at several times during
the Months aforesaid, but particularly in the said Month of
November for some days before the said twenty seventh day
of that Month conducted and behaved himself when in
Company with this Deponent so oddly and inconsistently
that this Deponent did believe and look upon the said William
Frankland
< no role > to be disturbed in his Senses And this Deponent
particularly saith that during the said Month of November
prion to the said Shooting he the said William Frankland< no role >
when in Conversation with this Deponent was quite
incoherent in his Discourse rambling in a most sudden [..]
and abrupt Manner from one Idea to another entirely foreign to
the former and never finishing any Subject he talked upon
in so much that this Deponent did then observe and think and
is now well convinced the said William Frankland< no role > was then
insane and impaired in his Mind and understanding And
this Deponent further saith that he hath frequently visited
the said Prisoner in Newgate since his aforesaid Confinement
these and hath constantly found him insane of Mind and
not capable of [..] being advised with on
his present unhappy Condition And this Deponent saith that
he last saw the said Prisoner this Morning in [..] Bail Dock [..] and
the said Prisoner is now insane and unfit to be brought upon
his Tryal and incapable of judging how to plead to the
Indictment against him as this Deponent verily believes And
lastly this Deponent saith he has been informed and verily believes
that [..] and [..] Material Evidence of the said Prisoner's Instantly of Mind
can be given by Witnesses now residing in different and distant Parts
of the Country if time be allowed till the next Sessions at
the old Bayley to Subpelna them to give Evidence on the said Prisoner
Behalf
