The Information of John Polly< no role > taken
before me this 4th. day of December 1773

Who being upon Oath says that on a Sunday in the month of September
last he had some Conversation with John Taylor< no role > whom he then told that
he intended to leave his Master, that the said John Taylor< no role > observed it was
a difficult Matter to live by Honesty and that if this Informant
would go with him it should be a Guinea or two in his Pocket,
that this Informant lay at the said John Taylor< no role > 's Lodgings that Hight
and the next day they both went to the house of [..] Mrs. Ann Montague< no role >
[..] in Hanover Square where the said John Taylor< no role > had been at Work
before, that the said John Taylor< no role > and this Informant broke open a Desk
a Hair Trunk a Cabinet a little Box & Cloaths Box in different parts
of the said house out of which they stole in all about 9 Guineas in
Money two Crown pieces and a Half Crown and about 40 pieces of
foreign Silver Coin and some pieces of foreign Gold Coin and two
green purses a white Mourning Ring and some Straps or Hat Bands made of Silk & Silver
one of which this Informant sold to Mr. Davies the Jew for a Shilling
that the sold the said Ring to the said Jew for nine Shillings
that the whole Amount of what they so stole was about £20, that
the said pieces of foreign Gold Coin were sold by the said John Taylor< no role >
and this Informant to the said Mr. Davis the Jew, that the said
John Taylor< no role > told this Informant that one James Booth< no role > and the said
John Taylor< no role > had some days before broke open a Chest of Drawers
a small Desk a Cloaths Box in the said house and stolen thereout
a Remnant of Sattin 2 or 3 Silk Gowns a pair of Ear Rings, a Silver
Snuff Box a Gold Smelling Bottle a Ring & about ten pounds in
Silver consisting of Crown pieces Etc a pair of Buck skin Breeches
Etc and that the said James Booth< no role > had the Smelling Bottle Snuff Box
and Ear Rings that the Gowns were in Pawn for two Guineas
