on a prosecution for Felony

Samuel Greer< no role > of Kensington in the County of Middlesex
Gent one of the Attornies of his Majesty's Court of King's
Bench maketh Oath and saith That he hath for
about five Months last past known the abovenamed
Defendant William Frankland< no role > late of Kensington
aforesaid Gent and now a prisoner in Newgate for
having shot at Thomas Miller< no role > of Hammersmith in the said
County Esquire on the twenty seventh day of November last And
this Deponent saith that during the time aforesaid and particularly
in the Months of October and November last prior to the said
twenty seventh of said November he this Deponent observed the said
William Franklands Behaviour to be so extraordinary and
inconsistent that he this Deponent looked upon the said William
Frankland
< no role > to be disordered in his Senses And this Deponent
verily believes the said William Frankland< no role > was during the said
Month of November prior to the said twenty seventh day of November
insane and disordered in his Senses And this Deponent further
saith that he path this day visited and seen the said William
Frankland
< no role > in the Bail Dock here [..] and in this Deponents Judgment the said
William Frankland< no role > is now absolutely insane of Mind and out
of his Senses and incapable of being advised with or Judging how to
plead to the present Indictment against him And lastly this
Deponent Saith he is informed and verily believes that several
Witnesses who can give material Evidence on Behalf of the said
Prisoner on his Tryal & who may be subpena to give Evidence
at the next Sessions at the old Bayling are now absent residing
in the Country, And this Deponent is informed and verily believes
