The Branch being rusty and out of Order, it was ordered to be
Varnished, it being more lasting and ornamentall than
Scowering , the Charge being said to be forty Shillings.

from Chirstmas next

Then was read the Petition of Ann Wagstaffe alleadging
that she was soe aged and infirme y. she could not work & could
not support her selfe with her present Pension, and praying
an allowance of forty Shillings per Ann towards paying her
Rent, whereupon it was ordered yt. the sd. Allowance be
given her, to commence from Christmas next.
